Designer radiators and the more discerning customer

Written by Peter Martin, 13th January 2009

People generally don’t want radiators, they actually need them. Anyone that has lived in the UK will know that from October up until April, their central heating system is going to be working pretty regularly. Not that it is always limited to just these months, with the rather inclement weather that the UK experiences. The thing with radiators is, that most people have them, but don’t really realise that there can be a lot more to a radiator than first catches the eye. Now let’s face it, if we think about radiators, we normally think about a boring piece of white metal attached to the wall. They really are interesting, and a lot of people don’t realise that in fact there are actually designer radiators available. Designer styled radiators, are you sure? Well, yes I am. Companies like The Radiator Factory have been supplying high quality radiators to companies and individuals for a number of years.

The radiator designs are innovative, and pardon the expression cool. Now no one wants a cool radiator, as that’s not the point, but what I’m saying is, that you can have a cool looking designer radiator. The range available is astonishing, chrome, curved, vertical, panel, Victorian, period, classic and a number of other fascinating radiators. The finishes are also excellent, from the clinically sharp chrome finish, to the subtle colours that may be needed in a classic interior design setting. Well, I’ve mentioned designer radiators , but I should also mention the good old towel rail, that great invention that is so warmly received in the dark winter months in Europe when taking a shower on a cold freezing morning. The great things about all of these ranges are that this is a practical item, given an original and inventive makeover. It’s no longer boring, it’s actually interesting. In fact some of the designs such as the mirror radiators can actually be a focal point of a room.

Just think about it, you actually need to see it to believe it, but that’s exactly what The Radiator Factory is able to offer. I wish that when our central heating system was put into our house, that there was such an option as a designer radiator. Unfortunately, I had to make do with the standard issue of the 1980’s, a boring looking, white sheet of metal, which wasted space. That’s the great thing about these designer radiators, they actually fit the environment that they are put into, and cut down on the waste of space that so many positioned radiators cause. For instance the mirrored radiators offered by The Radiator Factory are excellent space savers. The Fassane radiator is perfect for a living room environment, whilst the Matrix-Versatile is suitable for both bedroom and bathroom. The whole range of designer radiators means that each room can have a different theme, safe in the knowledge that the radiator is going to sit comfortably within the design concept and not look out of place.
